It started as Wintermute at the late 90's,the line up was Noid-keyboards, Z-vox, Evi-keyboards, they took part in the compilation "a tribute to Cure" released by the german label Equinoxe Records, covering cure's most experimental and gloomy song Pornografhy, later on Evi leaves the band and Wintermute release 2 demo cd's, they start contacting labels in order to sign a contract, at the same time Noid is touring around the world with the infamous Rotting Christ which he was a member of for 7 years, Z also at the time was the keyboard player for Septic Flesh and Horrified, at the right timing the duo changed it's name to Siva Six and signed a record contract with Decadance Records, after 12 months of hard working in the studio the birth of their debut cd Rise New Flesh is a fact
Z and Noid have kindly agreed to answer some of our questions.
1. Since Siva Six is a relatively new band, I suggest you start with telling us a bit about the history of the band. When and how everything started?
Z - WE STARTED AT THE END OF 90’S AS “WINTERMUTE”,WE RELEASHED A COUPLE OF DEMOS AND ALMOST A YEAR AGO WE CHANGED OUR NAME TO “SIVA SIX” AND RELEASHED OUR DEBUT CD “RISE NEW FLESH”
2. What is the current line up?

3. Now let’s move on to your first album Rise New Flesh. What thoughts and emotions lay the foundation of this album? What inspired you?
NOID - OUR INSPIRATION COMES FROM THE SO CALLED DARK SIDE OF OUR SO CALLED HUMAN NATURE,THEMES FOR SEXUAL ABUSE…TRANSVESTITES….SERIAL KILLERS…DRUGS…SCI-FI..DOOMED LOVE STORIES …ARE COMMON TO THE SIVA SIX CONCEPT
4. Z, why did you decide in favour of completely electronic music? However, I must admit that it is the gloomiest electronic music that I have ever listened to.
Z - DOING ELECTRONIC STUFF IS REALLY GIVING ME A LOT OF PLESURE AND THIS DECISION CAME AFTER MY “MUSICALLY ENVOLVEMENT”, ALTHOUGH I MUST ADMIT THAT I ALWAYS HAD AN OBSESSION FOR ANY KIND OF GLOOMY +SAD+APOCALYPTIC MUSIC …SO THIS IS WHY OUR MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE THIS…
5. A question about a more professional area. Where was the recording session for Rise New Flesh held and what equipment did you use?
Z- THE PRE-PRODUCTION TOOK PLACE IN OUR HOME STUDIOS, THEN WE WORKED FOR 12 MONTHS WITH OUR PRODUCER IN THE INFAMOUS “COCAINE SLUTS AND HORROR STUDIOS” AND FINALLY THE MASTERING WAS DONE BY THE LEGENDARY JOHN RIVERS ( DEAD CAN DANCE - SOPOR AETURNUS..ETC…ETC…)
NOID- WE USE HARDWARE STUFF LIKE ROLAND JP-8000,ACCESS VIRUS,NOVATION V –STATION, AND LOADS OF VST PLUG INS+SOFT SYNTHS,
6. For a rather short period of existence Siva Six has performed quite a large number of gigs. How did the gigs go, and what were the usual reactions of metalheads towards your works?
Z- WE LIKE LIVE SHOWS,AND THE AUDIENCE WHO LIKES EXTREME AND BRUTAL MUSIC ALWAYS HAVE GOOD TIME IN OUR SHOWS, ALL THE METALHEADS ARE REALLY INTO OUR DARK +EXTREME SOUND AND THEY REACT REALLY COOL AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE REALLY ENJOY
7. What back line do you use on the stage?
NOID- I HAVE A LOT OF EQUIPMENT ON STAGE…LIKE….MIXING DESC….MULTIEFX”S…..HARDWARE SYNTHS…AN ASSHOLE SINGING…..HAHAHAHAHA
8. What is the meaning of the band's name?
Z- SHIVA IS THE INFAMOUS GOD OF DANCE+DESTRUCTION BUT 4 US MEANS SOMETIMES NOTHING ,SOME OTHERS IS JUST THE JOKER IN OUR FUTURISTIC OBSESSIONS….LIKE ….THE NAME OF A VIRUS….OF A GANG…OF AN EVIL CLAN…..SOMEHOW IS FOR US ALL AND NOTHING AT THE SAME TIME
9. Tell us please where one can get acquainted with your works? And where is it possible to buy your CD?
NOID- OUR MUSIC IS DISTRIBUTED WORLD WIDE THROUGH A LOT OF DISTRO LABELS IT CAN ALSO BE BOUGHT THROUGH THE NET
10. Could you please recall a funny accident, which took place during your recording session or during a gig?
Z-ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT THE GOD THAT PROTECTS US IS DEMANDING FROM US TO WATCH PORN MOVIES DURING THE RECORDINS…OF COURSE WE CANT DENY HIS WILL…NO MATTER IF WE ARE ATHEIST
