Canadian Modern Metal slashers THREAT SIGNAL have announced the addition of a new guitar player called Travis Montgomery. He replaces Kyle McNight, who left the band earlier this year. Some months ago, drummer George Parfitt has left THREAT SIGNAL in order to focus on his family life. He has been replaced by Norm Killeen.
Here's a statement of THREAT SIGNAL singer Jon Howard concerning the line-up changes:
"I believe THREAT SIGNAL owes you an explanation regarding member changes. This is what's been going on... First, I would like to say, every former member of the band CHOSE to leave for their own personal reasons. And I am happy the way the band has turned out in the long run. We sound better than ever and we're having a great time together! Early in the summer Kyle (McKnight, guitar) informed me that he no longer wanted to continue his career with the band. The main reason was touring, and not wanting to be away from home, even to play an hour away... We cancelled over 60 shows because of this. I was extremely disappointed. He then wanted me to post a statement saying he had given up on music, which I didn't post, because I don't believe it to be true. I, on the other hand, will never turn my back on my passion, my friends, my fans, or myself. I started THREAT SIGNAL, and I will die with THREAT SIGNAL. I've recorded and produced every song we've ever done, wrote music, and written all lyrics and melodies, so I'm totally confident in moving forward with the band. We have recently recruited a young shredder from Texas, Travis Montgomery. He's one of the best young players I've ever seen. Oh, and he's also killer at guitar... His style fits in perfectly with what THREAT SIGNAL has created, and you will shit when you hear him play on the next album. You can see him in the tour blog videos. We are extremely excited about the new material we've been writing together, and I can't wait to release the next album. We are hoping to be in the studio by spring 2008. So with all that said, I would like to thank everyone who has stuck with THREAT SIGNAL and supported us through the good and bad times. Life is a fucked up ride, but everything happens for a reason and we only get stronger."

| Finnish rising gothic-metal star KATRA (named after frontwoman Katra Solopuro) singed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records. Self-titled debut will be released first for Finland and then English version in mid 2008. For English version vocals will be re-recorded under the guidance of producer Risto Asikainen (Stratovarius) in Jean Records Studio. This version will include also 2 new tracks. Artist Janne Uotila (HIM) will be responsible for CD's artwork.

| 29.11.2007: MACHINERY signes a deal with REGAIN RECORDS |
Stockholm based MACHINERY has inked a deal with REGAIN RECORDS.
Machinery was formed in late 2001 by guitarist/singer Michel Isberg and drummer Johan Westman. Their first demo 'A PART OF STEEL IN AN ENDLESS MACHINE' was released in October 2002 and at this point the music was far more heavy metal-oriented than it is today.
Through time the band grew character and in October 2004 the release of 'THE BEGINNING' saw the light of day! An eight-track demo which by now can characterize how the band crafted their sound. A hybrid between Death, Black, Thrash and Heavy Metal. Imagine combining a classic thrashband with a dose of heavy metal, stirred with some progressive elements and flavoured with a touch of norwegian Black Metal... a formula which was further expanded on the 2005 demo 'RISING'.
In May 2006 Machinery participated on the 'Thrashing The Masses' compilation released by Last Entertainment (Sweden). With the success of the Thrashing The Masses, Machinery started to prepare for their debut full-length album, and in August 2006 'DEGENERATION' was recorded with producer Sverker Widgren in Necromorbus studio (Watain, In Battle, Mrk Gryning, Bloodshed).
In October 2006 'DEGENERATION' was released through Last Entertainment. Altough shortly after, guitarist Markus Isberg left the band and was replaced by Mano Lewys. The spring of 2007 was spent on writing material for the upcoming album which was recorded in June 2007 at Black Lounge Studio together with Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY).
The new album entitled "The Passing" can be described as an intense journey in epic and diverse metal. An album with great songs and an unique style that covers Heavv, Death, Black and Thrash Metal! A perfect blend of what should truly appeal to every metalhead! The album is going to be released via REGAIN RECORDS in early 2008.

The heavy/hard band DARKEST SEED finished the recordings of the EP "The Seed is Rising" . It was recorded in Nitro Sound Solutions being produced by Earth, the vocalist of Blood Tears and Seduced by Suicide.
The EP is available for download in the band's website and features a remastered version of the cover for Queen's "The Show Must Go On" , which was posted before and the new songs " The Darkest Seed" and " Silent Scream".

Swedish youngsters SONIC SYNDICATE have won the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Award at P4 National Radio Sweden! The award was presented to the band in Stockholm last Saturday and a management representative picked up the award for them since the band is currently touring US with AMON AMARTH.
Karin, bass player in SONIC SYNDICATE, states the following regarding this awesome news:
"I thought Xmas was in December. I woke up this morning with technology bringing me a early present. Sonic Syndicate has been awarded the P4 Dist National Radio Rookie of the Year award.
2007 has been like a big holiday with all kinds of gifts. We released our Debut album "Only Inhuman" on Nuclear Blast Records, we confirmed some of the biggest festivals of our dreams shortly after, have been out touring with some great bands that we grew up listening to and now this great news in my crappy little mobile phone."

Depeche Mode cover of 'Enjoy the silence' by dark rock band Star Industry reaches Amazon's Top 10 download charts.
The cover Star Industry made of Depeche Mode's classic hit " Enjoy the silence" is charting on Amazon. The song which is featured on the bonus disc of Star Industry's latest album "Last Crusades" next to remixes by Leaether Strip, Vive La Fête and others is now moving up to the first place in Depeche Mode related tracks. The album was released on May 11th and was produced by the legenday Luc Van Acker (Anna Domino, Revolting Cocks, ...). This 3rd album marked the band's much anticipated and succesful return in 2007 which quickly resulted in concerts allover Europe. The band has now also been confirmed for next year's Wave Gothic Treffen in Leipzig.

| On Monday 29th of October DEATHSTARS entered Metrosonic Recording Studios in NYC to begin the recording of their new album to be released in spring 2008. This album will start another chapter in their history of vanity, darkness, blood and sleaze. The recording sessions will continue throughout November and December and the mix is set for January.
