After a long studio break SCRAMBLED DEFUNCTS were successfully reanimated. In July 2005, band has finished their second full-size album named "Hackled In Gore", which was recorded on "Z-STUDIO" under direction of Arkady Navaho. CD has been published the end of December 2005 by SD MUSIC and young Moscow brand "CORPORATION OF MONSTERS" specially dedicated to technical & brutal music. There are 9 songs, presented on CD: Subterranean Slaughterhouse; Amongst the Devastated Graves; Flensed Battue; Pre-natal Whittling; Limbless Fatling; Slashing of the Mummified; Hackled in Gore; Profaning the Crypts; Burnt Alive.
Duration of an album is about 52 minutes. Tracks "Slashing of the Mummified" and "Burnt Alive" were recordered & remastered accordingly to the new album idea. They have been taken from a mini "Pre-natal Whittling", produced in 2002 by "Displeased Records" in Holland. Presently, musicians are working on the third full-size album which material is completely prepared.
The music appears violent technical brutal death metal sodden by madness of twisted grindcore and pure of death metal. It is certainly most of brutal substance of “deathly metal” of Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy. Songs of "Hackled In Gore" are mightily bloodshed audience by brutal and over speed riff structures.
Breaking rhythm-section grinds your bones, brains and genitals. It’s endless demonic fear of autopsy and pulverization of fresh meat of exhumed corpses. It’s quickly but uniform, soundly and impressive.

20.04.2006: Blackmass - Worldwide release of Gloria Diaboli through Sinister Sounds
BLACKMASS released in December their first full length, titled Gloria Diaboli, through the brazilian label Blasphemy Productions (www.blasphemyproductions.com) and after some negotiations the debut is now being released worldwide through the north-american label Sinister Sounds (www.sinistersounds.ca). The release is announced to the end of April, with Goat Sessions Volume II from the labelmates Of Human Bondage.

In an interview drummer Michel "Away" Langevin explained why Katorz is such an important album for the band: It came about in unfortunate circumstances, but the result is mind-blowing. Right before his departure, Denis explained to me that he had recorded all the tracks that we had been working on with [bassist] Jason [Newsted] and [vocalist] Snake [Belanger] for the past two years. He had recorded that on his laptop with ProTools, and even though he would have preferred to re-do the whole thing in a real studio. We built the album based on the guitar tracks, which was difficult, because normally, we go the other way around and start with the drums. But it sounds amazing.
Katorz means 14 — it's the 14th effort of the band, Belanger added. The first time Piggy put it together and gave us the demo was on CD, [and he had written] Katorz, which is not the right way to write it. Of course [there is] an emotional side to it, so we took the demo, and the design of it will be his handwriting.
HAMMERFALL singer Joacim Cans and guitarist Oscar Dronjak will be part of a Swedish ice-hockey team called Artists for Life. The team will feature celebrities like football and ice-hockey legends, stand-up comedians, Mikkey Dee (Motörhead) and several Swedish musicians etc. The game will be partly broadcasted on television and will be against a reality show team from Swedish ZTV called HCZ. The entire happening is part of a charity event that put together to raise money. Amazing stuff! Weird, funny and a really good idea!
Dissection, the legendary Swedish underground metal pioneers triumphantly return to the metal scene on May 16th, 2006 (April 30th in Europe on the band’s own label, Black Horizon Records) with the release of Reinkaos, an album regarded by the band as a work of Sonic Black Magic. The ritualistic and black magical work on Reinkaos,’ which has taken 11 years to conduct as well as 11 months in the recording studio, has in the long hard road to manifestation been steadily accompanied with constant struggle, internal and external turbulence.
Through all that has happened -- occult practice, murder sentences, scandals, Satanic crimes, media boycott and censorship, violence, death and chaos -- finally Reinkaos is ready to! be unleashed! We have invested our souls in this album, gone through fire and brimstone to make everything work, says singer and guitarist Jon Ndtveidt. Black Horizon Music (via The End Records in North America) will also re-release extended versions of the band’s back catalogue including the classics The Somberlain (1993) and Storm of the Light's Bane (1995). A documentary film about Dissection is currently in the making.

Canadian thrash/metalcore act THINE EYES BLEED have grabbed the opening slot on the most anticipated metal tour of the summer, the UNHOLY ALLIANCE TOUR.
Right now we are thinking, Holy f*ck, we got the big one! says THINE EYES BLEED singer Justin Wolfe about the tour. We couldn't be more excited to be a part of the Unholy Alliance Tour and as of right now it's still overwhelming. The tour -- which is headlined by SLAYER and features MASTODON, LAMB OF GOD, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED – will launch on June 6, 2006 and run for two months across North America.
“It's a once in a lifetime opportunity that we have always dreamt of having as a band, comments Wolfe. Personally we have no choice but to go out and prove ourselves being the ‘underdogs’ of the tour and we want to take full advantage of it. Canada’s pioneering metal band VOIVOD have set Katorz as the title of their forthcoming album due out June on THE END RECORDS in North America and Australia.
VOIVOD, who just finished mixing the album with producer Glen Robinson (Tea Party, GWAR) at Multisons studio in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, are now mastering the alb! um in New York.
The follow-up to 2003's "Voivod" is the first album in the band's 20-plus-year career that did not feature founding guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour working alongside his bandmembers in the studio. D'Amour died August 26, 2005 in a Montreal hospital from complications of advanced colon cancer.
In order to record “Katorz,” drummer Michael "Away" Langevin, singer Denis “Snake” Belanger and bassist Jason "Jasonic" Newsted utilized all of the guitar parts that Piggy had recorded for the record on his laptop with ProTools before his death.
Artwork and a full track-listing for the album will be released in the coming weeks.

Underground label Anthropocide productions presents its first release: demo-record "Buried And Forgotten" performed by Russian doom-metal band Crepuscularia. Raw, rough and minimalistic music for the fans of Russian doom underground. Low record quality, typical for the bands of demo-level, adjoins monotonous and pressing riffs and primitive drums. Mainly instrumental compositions are very different in their mood, from "light autumn melancholy" up to the deepest funeral grief. The monolith of the band's sound is made by guitars, keyboards are used just slightly. All instruments were recorded live except drums. In addition to five tracks composed by the band itself, there is the Anathema cover song on the album.
