12.05.2006: Earth is chosen best musician of 2005 in Brazil
Earth, member of Blood Tears (doom metal) and the person who makes the voices and plays all the instruments in Seduced by Suicide, was chosen as "Best Musician of 2005" by the website HeavyRS. The "Best of 2005" were announced in a known local festival called "Zeppelin in Concert". Meanwhile, his two bands went to the finals of the contest made by Revolver Magazine and the metal t-shirt store SickIdiots, responsible by SickIdiots.com, SickMetal.com and SickFamily.com.
Earth thanks the fans for the incredible support: "Thanks to all the fans and friends for the high number of votes for both bands (Blood Tears and Seduced by Suicide), which shows how supportful you are, since they were chosen in different months".
This contest is very important for Earth since both bands will be judged by known musicians like Lemmy (Motörhead), Don Dokken (Dokken), Snake Sabo (Skid Row), Katon W. (Hirax), and others. All of this is part of the great response that Seduced by Suicide is receiving after these first months after the release of the debut, Gothic Dream, that received four highest scores in the first reviews. 10.05.2006: BLINDED COLONY Check In From The Studio, Photos and Video Available
Sweden based metal act BLINDED COLONY have recently updated their website from the studio. Here is what vocalist Johan Schuster had to say about the recording process:
"So, this is the first entry for this studio-diary. This is the place where we'll write a little about what's going on in the studio (minus the inappropriate dirty details hehe)! As you can see, we also post studio-videos and try to translate our ugly Swedish as best as we can into English, for all of you non-Swedes out there. We're pretty much done with all drum tracks now, and so far it sounds fucking killer! We've changed some kick drum rhythms in some old songs that sounded pretty lame, slow, & boring to make it groove more and sound more interesting. Such things can really make a song three times better! Or perhaps four!
Some sad news is that Staffan pretty much fucked up his ear at the last gig, so now he rests from noise as much as he can. Therefore, I will play the drums for the remaining tracks. I'm actually a drummer so I hope not to disappoint you haha! I've played the drums in other groups with Staffan handling the bass some years ago. But that's another story! Staffan will be back in action soon, so there is nothing to worry about!
I'll be in the studio all day pounding on drums. Take care, and be sure to look out for more studio updates."
BLINDED COLONY entered Soundpalace studios in April in their hometown of Karlshamn Sweden for the recording process of their forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled record, which is due out in the fall through Pivotal Rockordings and will be released worldwide. The album comes as the follow-up to 2003’s DIVINE which was also recorded in SoundPalace and released through Italy’s Scarlet Records.

Obscenity have been playing classic Death Metal since their formation in 1989 and with this, the band from Oldenburg, Germany are known as one of the founders of this brachial scene. With their debut album "Suffocated Truth" the guys from northern Germany set the direction of their music in stone: Brutal, death steel with a large portion of melody, a massive guitar wall, angry blast beats with mega deep growls from the singer Oli. Over six albums, obscenity have continually refined their style and the last piece of work, "Cold Blooded Murder" brought the band their breakthrough. They appeared at festivals such as the No Mercy Tour 2002, With Full Force 2002, Wacken Open Air 2003 and even went on tour with Six Feet Under.
Now, with their new album "Where Sinners Bleed" Obscenity are aiming to storm their way to the top. This album blasts with the fury of an atom bomb and not only shows that the guys from Oldenburg are in top form but also surprisingly open to new influences. Who would have thought that these veterans had it in them to make such a leap in development? To the over - brachial Death Metal come classic Thrash influences which let their style sound fresh and modern, the powerful acoustic and Oli's vocals gain through this a decided variety and flexibility. 10.05.2006: Holy Moses - No Matter What's The Cause - Re-Release 28. April 2006
Forget everything that you've heard from Holy Moses up until now, then "No Matter What's the cause" is totally different!! The Bass part was taken over by non less than S.O.D. / Nuclear Assault and Brutal Truth member Dan Lilker. The line-up was also completed for the NO MATTER in 1994, with the Rykers Drummer Sven Herwig (also to be heard on the Reborn Dogs album). The guitars were as always played in by Andy Classen, who also for the first time took over a large portion of the main vocals alongside myself.
"No Matter...", this is precise, calculated brutality in a sometimes crazy tempo that's bordering on chaos. This borderline is never crossed though due to the capturing grooves that put their mark on this album. "Not Matter What's The Cause" is not an album that is to be listened to as background music as you will be forced to intensively listen and take notice! This CD stresses many mental capacities and although "No Matter..." is tough, a growing hunger develops for the maelstrom of Beats, Grooves and "In your face" Grunts. It is shown on "No Matter...", what capable musicians from the section of brachial music can do, without leaving the basis, and with this the brutality, of their beliefs even a little. "No Matter..." has not become a progressive and minutely detailed album, but a post-industrial, post-hardcore, post-death metal piece of work, anno 1994. The cover version, "Hate Is Just A 4 Letter Word" from Shock Therapy is today just as then an individual piece of work. On the original tracks you have the luxury of hearing Dan Lilker playing in piano tracks for the first ever time, and that is something to be enjoyed and not to be missed.
In 1994, hardly anyone would have awaited such an album from Holy Moses and looking back today, I don't think there will ever be an album from us quite like it again. "No Matter..." has it's place in the history of Holy Moses as being a special album which at the time lead me to re-think the path my life was taking. Temple Of The Absurd was then my top priority but also Holy Moses and the "No Matter..." was a major part of my life, which was going through a very difficult phase. Today we still play in our live set: Hate Is Just A 4 Letter Word and I feel Sick - both of them being my favourites on the album. "No Matter" showed me though, where the rest of the band with Holy Moses wanted to go, and that this direction was not the one I myself wanted to follow. What followed during the studio phase was my decision to let Holy Moses rest for a bit. This "bit" turned out to be five years.
Original Holy Moses - up until the "No Matter..." album - this is what lead me to take the wishes of the Holy Moses fans to heart, and to put further old demo tracks onto this re-release plus a further live track from Wacken Open Air 2005, which Sabina would like to dedicate to her good friend of many years and crew member (lighting) Jaqueline, who died 2 years ago through cancer. The original demo from back then is completely destroyed. (After all it lay in an old box for nearly 25 years). Michael Hankel has still been able to save nearly all of the material from this tape with only the titles "My Brain" and "Smokin' and Drinking" being completely lost. The rest we've now put onto a CD where Michael Hankel has done the job of making the old material as listenable as possible. The demo tape Satan's Angel was recorded with a microphone and old tape recorder in the cellar of the Inda Gymnasium (Holy Moses' rehearsal room and school) at the end of 1981.

Michael Schenker is celebrating his 25th anniversary this year and fittingly, he's releasing a new album "Tales Of Rock'n'Roll" with 19 brand new songs. All of the MSG singers have put in parts to this album, Gary Bard, Graham Bonnett, Leif Sunding, Kelly Keeling, Chris Logan and naturally the current singer, Jari. The actual release will be accompanied with the "Tales Of Rock'n'Roll" world tour and supported by label colleagues Nikki Puppet.

With the release of the new album "God Has A Plan For Us All", a brand new site design has been done to further enhance the release. The site will continue to grow over time as more information is gathered, but most of the information on the old site has been transferred to the new site.
We are also happy to announce that Angtoria now have a complete line up! John Henriksson from the band My Own Grave, who did an excellent job behind the drums in the video despite getting only a couple of days notice to practice and learn the song, has been added to the band, as well as Dave Pybus who participated both on the album and in the video. I was involved at the very beginning when we discussed what kind of direction the new album was going to take.
But when we got together to rehearse the ideas I saw that Victor had everything straight in his mind. We decided that Victor would focus on the orchestral thing and I would take care of the metal stuff. "Dublin - Ireland - Ohoy Sailors. We are in Dublin now for the first time ever and it's great to be here. You would think that I would take this opportunity to get out and see stuff, but I've actually spent the entire day in my hotel room. Enjoying some private time for a change, but tomorrow I'll be out and check things out. I've heard a lot of things about shows in Ireland, and I really hope that tomorrow's sold-out show will be as great as all those rumours promises. But I think so. This whole tour has been amazing like I said before, and our first time as headliners on a UK-tour is working out really well so far as well. The shows have been crazy. One time, (at bandcamp) we went to the pub (of course) to watch some soccer with our friends in SEPULTURA. Of course the game was cancelled due to rain, so we decided to start a FIFA tournament on the x-box instead. So far only a few games have been played but hell what everybody gets wired up around this. Hehe… me too. That's it for now my friends."
