Karlshamn Sweden based melodic death metal band BLINDED COLONY have recently updated their official MYSPACE PAGE with four brand new songs from their sophomore release, Bedtime Prayers, which was released today worldwide through Florida based record label Pivotal Rockordings. Additionally, a brand new Official Webiste and E-CARD have been launched. Vocalist Johan Schuster has checked in and posted a lengthy message for the fans:
"Johan Schuster here checking in to give you all a bit of an update! First of all, I wish to say that today is the day that we have been looking forward to for almost a year, and that is the Worldwide Release Date for Bedtime Prayers! I first of all want to thank all those that have made the release of Bedtime Prayers possible and we want to specifically thank all you fans for being so patient: it has been a long wait, but we know it’s worthwhile for all of you! 03.01.2007: Atrocity makes samples of 'Contaminated' available online
Reunited Torrington, Connecticut-based thrash/hardcore act ATROCITY (not to be confused with the German band) have posted 30 second samples of every track off of the upcoming "Contaminated" CD which features alternative recordings from the original "Infected" sessions. These sample are currently being streamed at www.opengraverecords.com
Formed in early 1985 by Rob Wedda (vocals), Rich Flint (bass), Scott Reynolds (guitar) and Jeff White (drums), ATROCITY had pushed out three demos ("Toxic Death", "Ravaged by Disease", "Mangled") and a self-financed seven-inch EP, entitled "Hatred Birth", by 1989. They soon caught the attention of U.K.-based Metalcore Records, a subsidiary of Plastichead Distribution, whom they ultimately signed with.
ATROCITY's first album, "Infected" (1990), is very raw and featured a very violent death metal/grind sound. The second album, "The Art of Death" (1992), saw a lineup change when Scott left the band and was replaced by Jesse Piechowski on guitar.
January 30 will see the release of "Contaminated", which is currently available for preorder via the Open Grave Records webstore.

The brazilian black metal label Evil Imperium Records recently launched their website. Founded by Mateus Andretta and João Carlos Vieira, who are fighting in the metal scene for over 10 years, the label has as their first release a limited edition of Melancholic Art's debut, Força Black Metal Pampeano, which is being released with a new artwork cover and will also be distributed in North America through the label Sinister Sounds.
The first releases distributed in Brazil by Evil Imperium are Of Human Bondage's "The Goat Sessions Vol. II", and Eternal's "Satanic Templars of the Dark Age".

Some bands play music for the sake of a “nice” tune, a “nice” melody or purely for the sake of playing. Some other bands play because it is in their blood, their culture, their history and folklore and life would not be the same without it... Primordial is one of these bands.
Anaal Nathrakh was created for one purpose - to be the soundtrack for Armageddon, the sounding essence of evil, hatred and violence, the true spirit of necro taken to its musical extremes. It has never been subject to hype, never been a vehicle for personal promotion, and never claimed anything it couldn't deliver musically.

22.12.2006: Blinded Colony, music video posted online and tour dates annouced with Ektomorf
Karlshamn Sweden's BLINDED COLONY have posted the music video for their first single "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" on their MYSPACE PAGE, their OFFICIAL WEBSITE as well as the newly launched Pivotal Rockordings YOUTUBE channel. "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" comes from BLINDED COLONY's forthcoming album, Bedtime Prayers which is due out January 9 Worldwide and January 12 in Europe. The video was filmed in the band's hometown of Karlshamn and was produced by director Thomas Tjäder (In Flames). Guitarist Tobias Olsson had the following to say regarding the video for "Once Bitten, Twice Shy":
"As you can see we release our the official video for "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" today. It was originally recorded in late 2005, but re-edited once again by TThomas Tjäder (In Flames), check it out and let us know what you think about it! Some of you may have seen the old version of the video with 'demo' version of "Once Bitten, Twice Shy", but we encourage you to not watch that one since it is now outdated. Check out the new one, spread it to your friends, and enjoy it!"
BLINDED COLONY will also hit the road with Hungary's EKTOMORF for an extensive European/UK tour in February and March. Guitarist Tobbe Olsson had the following to say regarding the tour:
"We are doing a European tour together with Ektomorf stretching from the 1th of Feb to the 10th of March. This is what BLINDED COLONY has been working for all these years and finally the hard work have paid off! We are excited to hit the road with Ektomorf also since we had such a great time with them in Germany earlier this month! We are really looking forward to going back to Germany and playing to the awesome crowds there as well as our first trip to the UK. We know we have a great fan base there and we certainly look forward to giving everyone in Europe the chance to finally see us live!"

17.12.2006: Downlord Final Mastered Samples Available Now
DOWNLORD, the Danish death metal band featuring ex-BOLT THROWER/BENEDICTION vocalist Dave Ingram and former members of INIQUITY, DAEMON, and SUPERFICIAL, have released 30-second clips of the final mastered versions of each track off their debut album, "Random Dictionary Of The Damned", due out January 30 on Open Grave Records.
For a limited time, Open Grave Records will be giving away with pre-orders of the album the limited-edition "Grind Trials" mini-CD. Part of this added bonus will be that one lucky fan will receive number "666" of this limited-edition CD. Number "666" is signed by the entire band.
"Random Dictionary Of The Damned", will be available through most major retailers across the US as well as in the UK through Code 7 / Plastichead Distribution.
Darzamat will take part in the two festivals in Germany. The first of them, namely Last Night On the Earth, will take place as soon as on the next Saturday (16th of December in Antrochte). The band is going to present itself next to such bands as Disillusion, One Man Army And The Undead Quartet, Disbelief, Legion Of The Damned, Volbeat, Endstille, Graveworm, Ektomorf or Wintersun.
The second festival, Winternachtstraum, will take place on 24th of December 2007 in Arnsberg near Dortmund. Darzamat will perform next to such bands as Eisregen, Disillusion or Skyclad. It is during the very Winternachtstraum festival that Darzamat will register its concert for the need of the first official DVD album.

Swedish death metal act ZONARIA have inked a deal with Pivotal Rockordings for the release of their as-of-yet untitled debut album. The band will be entering the studio on November 20th to begin the tracking for the album. Tracking duties will be handled by Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry) at Black Lodge Studios (Scar Symmetry, Centinex). The mixing will be handled by Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry, Centinex, ex-Carnal Forge). A release in the late spring is expected. Guitarist Emil Nyström had the following to say concerning the signing and the new album as well as current band progress.
"We are really excited about the signing with Pivotal Rockordings. We have been in talks with them for quite a while and it didn't take long before we realized that they were the right label to release our debut album. We've grown really fond of the personnel and the way they work. They are really willing to go 100% for Zonaria!
The recording is starting this Monday, November 20th! It's been quite hectic the last weeks, loads of rehearsing. How this release from the "Rendered in Vain" single is that we're not recording it ourselves, but we are working with Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry, ex-Altered Aeon, ex-World Below) which is going to be a blast! We are also expecting major miracles from Jonas Kjellgren behind the mixing tables! We really love all his work and we're confident that he'll do some really great things with our songs! The artwork will of course be handled by Seth, and we are really looking forward to what he can create for our debut!
We are all very excited to hear what the new album will sound like and are equally excited to dive into the recording process! Especially since we all have developed a lot, not just as musicians and composers: but in all ways! So this debut is going to be the pay off for all the hard work we have put into this band! The metal community can expect a great album in late spring of 2007 and loads of shows in all of Europe. We are planning tours already."

14.11.2006: Seduced by Suicide becomes soundtrack of american troops in Iraq
Recently a surprising fact showed how music doesn't have boundaries, taking the work of a brazilian band to the middle east. Directly from Iraq, Jonathan Starkey contacted Seduced by Suicide thanking the band for their work. Jonathan is a member of Bravo Company, from Fort Hood, Texas, and is actually in Iraq with his troop, after leaving USA in October 22nd.
Jonathan got married in September, and as other troop members identified himself with the Seduced by Suicide's music. He sent the following message to Earth, vocalist and multi-instrumentist of Seduced by Suicide, telling about how they miss their wives back home, and the relationship with the band's music: "How are you doing? Well, Bravo Company 1-8 cav from Fort Hood, Texas, would like to say thanks for your music."
He talks about the cover made by Seduced by Suicide for "I Was Made For Lovin' You", from the "disco" album of KISS, which received a gothic rock version: "You make alot of us married soldiors feel better with that song. It hit the right spot when we think of our wives back home, so our hats are off for you guy. Thanks a lot from Bravo Company, we love your music from the heart."
