MISERY INDEX are on tour now in support of their Relapse debut, Discordia. MISERY INDEX have teamed up with FROM A SECOND STORY WINDOW, CATTLE DECAPITATION, ANIMOSITY and JOB FOR A COWBOY for an extensive U.S. summer tour. The run of dates, dubbed the 'Steers and Beers Tour’, began last week on the east coast and circles the country, covering almost 40 cities in 6 weeks.

13.06.2006: HIGH ON FIRE Announce Exclusive European, North American Festival Appearances
HIGH ON FIRE will finish off the touring cycle for its critically-acclaimed Blessed Black Wings record with a handful of exclusive festival appearances in Europe and North America.
HIGH ON FIRE will be playing on June 24th as part of the Vice Intonation Music Festival 2006 at Union Park in Chicago where they will share the stage with the likes of Bloc Party, Ghostface Killah, Blue Cheer and many more. Shortly thereafter, the band will be heading to Europe for a run of dates that will include an appearance at the 18th annual Dour Festival in Belgium and a headlining set at Supersonic Festival in Birmingham, England. Also included in the band’s European tour stops are their first ever appearances in Ireland, as well as make-up dates from the shortened December UK tour (where guitarist Matt Pike broke his wrist). The Oakland, CA trio will also be making an appearance at the Oya Festival in Oslo, Norway in August along with Morrissey, Snow Patrol, The Wrens and more. Progressive instrumental trio DYSRHYTHMIA have begun a full U.S. tour in support of their new album Barriers and Passages. Legendary metal giants Suffocation have begun recording their new album.
The self-titled new album is being recorded at Full Force Studios in Long Island, NY. Suffocation is the follow-up to 2004's Souls To Deny and will see a September 2006 release.

12.06.2006: Hate Eternal complete filming of live DVD
US Death Metal giants Hate Eternal headlined The Garage in London on June 4 and recorded a special set that was filmed for a live DVD release, as yet untitled, and due out October this year.

Hate Eternal continue their tour in Europe until June 10. The band recently completed a US trek in support of Chimaira and Arch Enemy. The band's current album, OI, Monarch was the last to feature departed drummer Derek Roddy, who was replaced by Reno Kiilerich for the European tour.

Earache bands ANATA, SEVERE TORTURE and MUNICIPAL WASTE all performed over the weekend at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The writing process for the new album "Caledonia" is now complete! 23.05.2006: SONIC SYNDICATE Confirmed For Sweden Rock Festival, Lineup Status Updated
Falkenburg Sweden’s own SONIC SYNDICATE have been confirmed for the 2006 installment of the Sweden Rock Festival taking place on June 8th. Also scheduled to perform are DEEP PURPLE, WHITESNAKE, and DRAGONFORCE, among countless others. Guitarist Roger Sjunnesson comments:
"We are very happy to announce that Sonic Syndicate will perform at the coolest, greatest, metal festival ever, Sweden Rock Festival 2006! Sweden Rock has recently become the biggest metal festival in Sweden, and is a must see festival for rockers and metal fans across Northern Europe! Roadrunner Records is proud to announce the signing of MEGADETH.
